• Activity toys can also provide a lot of enjoyment for the aggressive chewer and help keep them in a calmer frame of mind, as the dog is forced to explore the toy carefully in order to extract the rewards hidden inside, however be aware that an aggressive chewer who likes to shake his toys could also cause damage to himself and your home, if he attempts to pick up the toy and shake it, as these toys are often quite large.
It is important to remember that whenever you introduce a new toy to your pet you should do so with caution.
It is perhaps a good idea to set aside a time when you can observe the dog for a short while, when introducing a new toy, to ensure that the dog seems able to play without fear of choking or damage to the dog, or you home.
Doing so will ensure that both your dog, and yourself stay in a happy and healthy state of mind, and reduce the risk of you returning home to destruction or worse, a very poorly dog.
